WHAT DOES A COUNSELLING OR COACHING SESSION LOOK LIKE?
Set in the little office cabin you will talk openly and honestly with Jessica. A non-judgemental confidential talking/listening session will occur and conclude with a summary, discussing your plan/choices and setting a goal of action so you can begin or continue to be your best authentic self.
WHAT IS COUNSELLING? (face to face or online):
Counselling supports you to be your best self. By talking about wellbeing- healing, motivation, joy and life perspective and improve life. Together we talk, listen, and identify your best self. Your honesty, attempt to keep things real, and allowing yourself to build trust through talk ensures counselling success with Jessica.
Various therapeutic and counselling models assist you to improve mental health and wellbeing. These are: EcoTherapy; Cognitive Behavioural Therapy-CBT; Narrative; Gestalt; Reality and Mindfulness approaches. Jessica’s animals (Tibetan Spaniels – Tiny and Presley) enjoy sitting/engaging with you on request.
Online Counselling: offered in the safety of your own home/place of choice. For convenience you can book online at the times offered- Facetime or Skype.
WHAT IS COACHING?
Coaching helps to promote life success to be your best self -improving decision making (questionnaires/quizzes, self-reflections, interviews -identifying strengths, weaknesses, values& beliefs). Clients begin to clarify and comprehend feelings, thoughts & behaviours about memories or events. Positive decisions for today and tomorrow are made.
Coaching provides opportunities to self-develop & explore behaviours, social interactions, and the way connections are made with the world. Coaching can influence attitudes & behaviours, and provide opportunities to discuss new understandings and reflections of oneself.
Self-coaching is also explored during Coaching support. It is learning to listen to your inner voice, and taking action to positively influence wellbeing. This is explained well by Dev Pathik – The Power of Self-Coaching. https://youtu.be/2uazxRGwBes
WHAT IS ECOTHERAPY?
Ecotherapy is a therapeutic approach which encompasses you & nature. This emerging new activity combines counselling and psychotherapy techniques and unlike traditional indoor therapy, the natural environment to helps you optimise your wellbeing, feel grounded and connect collectively with nature, people and the community. Each session invites you & nature to consciously interconnect in a unique and memorable way. Simply, ecotherapy can help with understanding behaviour & how it plays such an important part in daily performances.
HOW IS ECOTHERAPY DIFFERENT TO COUNSELLING?
Using natural space/resource & counselling improves wellbeing and authenticity. It invites nature to help you connect, explore and find clarity. The tasks explore ways to take charge & coach yourself toward positive performance. Using nature invites clients to identify & explore present feelings, thoughts & actions (present and past) & talk about its relevance. New ideas to approach situations are often generated.
WHAT DOES ECOTHERAPY LOOK LIKE?
It’s a walk and talk task (1-1.5hrs on local horse trails starting from the cottage office). Interesting ‘green space’ locations to stop, sit, think and reflect for periods of time occur. If movement is difficult, nature locations are also on the property and/or creek surrounding the cottage.

Wellness can be upheld in many ways, and one is to access natural materials, arts and crafts, technology, nature to help you reflect & improve your mood.
